Who we are

We’re bringing historical travel into the digital era. Help us improve tourism today.

We are Nick Lempesis and Simone Vaccari, a cartographer and a tourism specialist mixing our passion for maps and history. We are motivated to alleviate the detrimental effects of mass tourism and seek heritage preservation through learning, awareness and traveler engagement.

Our vision

Support local and underrepresented groups
We involve locals with first-hand knowledge as much as possible. This creates jobs and promotes local culture and products.

Minority communities, social identities and cultures are given exposure and a voice. We aspire to make our content available to diverse users with different needs.

Our map treats every place equally, helping multicultural and interfaith understanding.

Promote preservation, education and collaboration
We make innovative web cartography and open data work for travelers. Make your discoveries or break your assumptions with map filters, timeline and smart searching.
