The Etruscans were a people of ancient Italy who lived between the 9th century BCE and the 1st century BCE in an area called Etruria. It stretched from today’s Tuscany to western Umbria, some regions of Campania and northern and central Lazio, with ramifications even northwards into the Po Valley. This tour through the beautiful and evocative historical centre of Perugia aims to rediscover the city’s history by visiting incredible places and testimonies still in the memory of this ancient past.
Entrance to the suggested places is highly recommended to enjoy our itinerary to the fullest, but it is not mandatory!
We suggest wearing comfortable shoes, as the centre of Perugia features uneven pathways that incline and decline.
